 Programs

The programs below will allow you to choose operational modes for tube stages faster and with more precision. Installation of MatLab v. 5.2 or greater ("student's version") is necessary. Working with these programs does not require knowledge of MatLab.
The archives include all necessary files for working with the main program. A Help file details installation and operation of the program.
Some examples are given in section "Articles".

SEcalcS.zip
Revision of
11.03.02
The Program makes available:
  • calculating the dependencies of the tube output impedance and transconductance versus a plate current;
  • setting a load line and a bias voltage (a quiescent current);
  • calculating the stage parameters as appropriate to the chosen operation mode;
  • carrying out the spectrum analysis of a stage output voltage.
SEcalcSi.zip
Revision of
11.03.02
In this version of the Program is extended by additional options for the spectral analysis:
  • Choice of a source of an input signal.
  • Automatic record, in a file "TUBE NAME".bin, the stage output signal for a "Test" mode.
SE2.zip
Revision of
07.06.02
The improved version of the program to analyse an operation mode of a vacuum electronic tubes (Triode or Pentode) performing in a class A single-end stage.
    In addition, the further parameters are calculated:
  • Power dissipated in a plate.
  • Power consumed from the primary power supply.
  • Calculating an amount of current consumed from the primary power supply.
PP.zip
Revision of
26.03.02
The program is designed to analyze an operation mode of the vacuum electronic tubes (Triodes or Pentodes) performing in a transformer-loaded push-pull stage of A, AB and B classes and makes available:
  • Setting a load line and a bias voltage (a quiescent current).
  • Calculating the stage parameters as appropriate to the chosen operation mode.
  • Calculating an amount of power consumed from the primary power supply.
  • Calculating an amount of power dissipated in a plate.
  • Calculating an amount of current consumed from the primary power supply.
  • Carrying out the spectrum analysis of a stage output voltage.
Comp.zip
Revision of
20.04.02
The Program is designed to graphically display the experimental data attained while examining the vacuum tubes of any type, and to select most appropriate ones for being paired.
    The Program makes available to:
  • Graphically display the experimental data as the plate characteristics diagrams.
  • Calculate the basic parameters of the vacuum tube as appropriate to operation point chosen at the plate characteristics diagram.
  • Sort out the vacuum tubes for being paired.
